HAIR
Hey ladies, listen up!
This is just for those times when your hair needs that little
pick me up. Jackie and I Went to Fantastic Sams and received a lot of information
on hair problems and hair styles. It was great fun and we learned lots
of things about caring for our hair as well as some cool new ways to put
it up.
Dean (manager of Fantastic Sams in our area) talks with Reyna and Jackie,
showing them new hairstyles.
They suggest using a moisture rich shampoo and a hydrating conditioner
(recommended is the Fantastic Sams shampoo "P" and their hydrating
conditioner) year round especially if you blow dry or use a curling iron
on your hair. The Shampoo "P" puts moisture in your hair and
the hydrating conditioner locks it in. In the summer lots of us like to
go swimming but whether or not you wash your hair it can still turn green.
The reason all colors of hair turn green is because when you get in the
water immediately your hair soaks up tons of chlorine. To reduce the amount
of chlorine soaked up you should rinse your hair before getting in the
water. Then once or twice a week you should wash your hair with a clarifying
shampoo to strip a lot of the remaining chlorine. If your hair still turns
green there is really nothing you can do but wait it out, and if you wash
your hair daily with regular shampoo it will fade away after awhile.
While there, the stylists showed us each several ways to do our hair,
some we can do ourselves in only a few moments, while others we'd definately
need a bit of help on. Click on our names below to see those styles. Oh
yes, and we've also got some basic information on hair products so you
can make a little sense out of them, plus Dean was nice enough to offer
a special coupon just for our magazine. So, if you get a chance, print
out the hair products guide page with the coupon and take it in to any
Fantastic Sams in the Charleston area!
With her shoulder length, thick, naturally curly hair she has 4 styles.
Two that use the hair in it's natural state, one that controls the curls,
and one that straightens the curls.
Jackie has long blonde hair. Moderate thickness, and overall fairly manageable.
Two of her hairstyles are quite simple and take only moments. The other
three are various ways to use french braids.
Michelle has long, straight, thin blonde hair. She wasn't able to come
with us when we went to Fantastic Sams, but she does have a really cool
"Francaise Twiste" that takes only moments to do.
