Summer allows opportunities for young entrepreneurs to make money. Walkinga dog for a neighbor may be a free will offering, or a regular job. Encourageyour child to design a computer print-out describing his or her skill andhow much you charge for the service. Add graphics for interest, and thenlet the cash flow in. Your children will learn the value of hard work andthey can do some long-range planning on how to save for some special goal,for example a computer game, or a donation to a worthwhile charity.
